MAKING NEW FRIENDS ..... GETTING TO KNOW YOU!
We experienced rough seas today, and yes, it was expected, not only from our location in the North Pacific, but also very apropos to the topic of our morning lecture....the U.S. economy! One of our favorite lecturers, Dr. Bob Froelich, was in the Hollywood Theatre this morning with the title of his lecture, "The World of Investing according to Dr. Bob, Part I", 'Where have we been?'" Bob is the Vice Chairman of Deutsche Asset Management, which is the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank. He also serves as Chairman of the Investor Strategy Committee, the first of its kind on Wall Street. Bob gave the reasons for the economic meltdown, where we are today, and where we are going. We will give a better economic roadmap after Bob finishes his lectures. This evening, we had dinner with Bob Froelich and his charming wife, Cheryl; and Barbara Benon and Susi Case, both from Santa Barbara.
OUR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
