TUESDAY, APRIL 28 ~ CRUISING THE GULF OF ALASKA EN ROUTE TO GLACIER BAY

BUT FIRST, REFLECTIONS  OF LAST NIGHT! 

Before we write up today, we must reflect on last night as we sailed from Seward!  We were completely taken by surprise with such beautiful cruising at this time of day between 9:30pm and 11:30pm.   We are approaching summer, but in this time of year (late April), we do not have a lot of rain or fog and the days are much longer.  

We include here some pictures of our departure with the last picture the rocks showing a distinct reflection just before dark at 11:30pm. 

We were at the end of the Sound just before entering the Gulf of Alaska, turning left, and sailing for Glacier Bay.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A GREAT DAY WITH ART LINKLETTER!

A television and radio star for more than 60 years, Art Linkletter was our Celebrity Guest Speaker today "How to Make the Rest of Your Life, the Best of Your Life".   Art directed this to ALL ages and at the age of 97, set the perfect example.  We were very anxious to purchase his book for the second time with the same title as his talk today which is his most recent book published in 2006.  The first time we purchased this same book was at our Santa Barbara Channel City Club luncheon last year.
